Terms of Service
Last updated October 22, 2026
The short version
DPCart is checkout software for creators who sell digital products. You connect your own Stripe account, and DPCart runs your checkout pages on it. You pay DPCart one flat monthly price. These terms explain what you can expect from us and what we expect from you. Section 2 contains our three promises; they are binding commitments, not marketing.
1. Definitions
- "DPCart", "we", "us" means the company that operates the DPCart service at dpcart.co.
- "You", "Seller" means the person or business that creates a DPCart account.
- "Buyer" means anyone who buys from you through a DPCart checkout.
- "Your Stripe account" means the Stripe account you own and connect to DPCart.
- "Active" means your account is open and your DPCart subscription is paid, or within the grace period in section 5.
- "Launch" means the date DPCart becomes generally available to the public, which we will announce by email and on dpcart.co.
2. Our three promises
We make the following commitments for as long as your account is active. They override anything else in these terms that conflicts with them.
2.1 Your Stripe, your customers
- Every payment, customer, saved payment method and subscription created through DPCart is created directly on your own Stripe account, not on an account owned or controlled by DPCart.
- You can see and manage all of them in your own Stripe dashboard at any time.
- If you disconnect DPCart or close your account, subscriptions on your Stripe account continue to bill under Stripe's terms. DPCart will not cancel, pause or move them.
2.2 Your money, never held
- Buyers' payments go from the buyer to your Stripe account. DPCart never receives, holds or controls those funds.
- DPCart charges 0% of your sales. We do not add an application fee, percentage fee or per-transaction fee to any charge. Stripe's own processing fees are between you and Stripe.
- Because we never hold your funds, we cannot freeze, delay or reserve your payouts. Payout timing is set by Stripe on your account.
2.3 Your price, locked
- Your DPCart plan is a flat monthly (or annual) price. It does not change with your sales volume, and there are no revenue-based tiers.
- The price you sign up at is locked for as long as your account stays active. We will not raise it, even if we raise prices for new customers.
- A feature included in your plan at or after launch will not be removed from your plan or moved to a more expensive plan while your account stays active.
- If you change plans yourself, the price of the new plan at the time you change is then locked in the same way.
2.4 Leaving is one click
- You can disconnect your Stripe account from DPCart at any time with one click in your dashboard. Disconnecting revokes DPCart's access to your Stripe account immediately.
- You can export your data at any time, including after you cancel (see section 8): products, checkout settings, orders, customers, subscriptions and delivery records, as CSV and through our API.
- We do not charge a fee to leave, export or disconnect.
3. Your account
- You must be at least 18 and able to form a binding contract, and the information you give us must be accurate.
- You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your login secure. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
- You need a Stripe account in good standing to take payments. Your use of Stripe is governed by your agreement with Stripe, and Stripe may make its own decisions about your Stripe account.
4. Selling with DPCart
- You are the seller of everything sold through your checkouts. You are responsible for your products, your prices, your refund policy, customer support, and any taxes that apply to your sales.
- You must not use DPCart to sell anything that is illegal, infringes someone else's rights, or is prohibited by Stripe's restricted businesses list.
- You must not misuse the service: no attempts to break or overload it, access other sellers' data, or send spam through it.
- You keep all rights to your products, content and data. You give us permission to host and process them only to run the service for you.
5. Billing
- DPCart is billed in advance each month or year. You can cancel at any time, and your plan stays active until the end of the period you've paid for. We don't refund partial periods unless the law requires it.
- If a payment for your DPCart plan fails, we'll email you and retry. Your account stays active, with your locked price, for a 30-day grace period. If payment hasn't succeeded after 30 days, your account becomes inactive and checkouts stop accepting new orders. Your data stays exportable (section 8).
- The only prices we charge are the ones on your plan. Any change to what we charge you is limited by section 2.3.
6. Cancelling and ending your account
- You can cancel your plan or close your account at any time from your dashboard.
- We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, or where the law requires us to. Unless the law or an urgent risk prevents it, we'll tell you why first and give you a chance to fix the problem.
- However an account ends, sections 2.1 and 2.4 still apply: your subscriptions keep billing on your Stripe account and you can still export your data.
7. Availability and support
We work to keep checkouts available at all times and publish live system status at /status. Planned maintenance that may affect checkouts will be announced in advance. Support is provided by people, by email.
8. Your data
- Data about your buyers belongs to you. We process it on your behalf, as described in our Privacy Policy.
- After you close your account, your data remains available for export for 90 days. After that we delete it, except where the law requires us to keep records.
9. Warranties and liability
We provide DPCart with reasonable skill and care. Beyond that, and to the extent the law allows, the service is provided "as is", and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and nothing in this section reduces our promises in section 2.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when we add features. We'll email you at least 30 days before a material change takes effect. No change will weaken the promises in section 2 for an account that is active when the change is made.
11. Contact
Questions about these terms: hello@dpcart.co. The legal entity, governing law and dispute-resolution sections will be added after legal review.
